Dr. Silverstein developed an early passion for healthcare after discovering the impact of nutrition on overall health and chose a career in spinal care after benefiting from it himself. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1980 and opened Northern Lights Chiropractic the same year, going on to spend over 40 years helping patients improve mobility, vitality, and quality of life. In 2007, he expanded his focus to spinal decompression after seeing an increase in advanced disc conditions and limited success with surgical outcomes. Partnering with Dr. Alan Dyer, the inventor of spinal decompression, he co-founded the Spinal Disc Regeneration Center in Watertown, NY, where he has helped thousands of patients avoid surgery and achieve better long-term outcomes.
